One Divided by Infinity (ODBI) is a self-started clothing line conceived by James Cabrera, a graphic artist and web designer. It’s purpose is not solely to develop stylish clothing but to also use it as a medium to shape and share our very own ideas and beliefs. It’s a progressive campaign to elevate discussions on things we care about, whether it be society, the economy, politics, poverty etc. One of the first things we see looking at a complete stranger are the clothes that they are wearing, so why not use it as an advantage to fight ignorance?

What’s in the Name?

One Divided by Infinity’s mathematical representation serves as a philosophical interpretation of each individual’s life. There are an infinite amount of “forces” in the world that are pulling and prying us in all different directions. These “forces” are those things which keep us up late at night, those things which causes us stress, even those things which give us gratification, even happiness; it’s a list that is infinitely long. However, if you allow these things to divide you then you’re exactly what mathematics defines one when it’s divided by infinity: nothing.

Mission

One Divided by Infinity is not a business, it’s a hobby. The goal is not only to create clothing that people would want to wear, but to create clothing that they also believe in. When people ask about my clothes there will always be a story to tell, regardless of my own intentions when creating the designs.

Everything I do is self-started and self-taught. What I create is not pre-defined by a system or ideology created by another professor or book. My art is a product of spontaneouity, genuine interest and self-motivation. It’s this mentality I wish to carry over to One Divided by Infinity.
